OUR MISSION
ABOS House is a long-term residential Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program designed to help men recover from drug addiction and/or alcoholism. The program consists of individual assessments, attendance of 12-Step meetings, structured living with curfew, and 24/7 accountability and a work study program where the residents are expected to pay their own way by working a full-time job in the local community. Residents are subject to random drug screens each week.
Each of our residents is viewed as an individual person. Our staff attempts to get to know the personal needs of our residents and we work as a team to meet those needs on an individual basis. We focus on each resident's needs to customize a recovery program specific to that individual, so that they may achieve a sober and successful life after leaving the ABOS House.
ACCOMODATIONS
Our resident housing is over 6000 square feet- it's designed to make residents feel like they are at home. Residents will enjoy common areas such as; kitchens, dining rooms, game room, private yards, and living rooms with internet/ TV. Other amenities on our property include Wi-Fi, Pool table, exercise equipment, large, covered front porch and an outdoor BBQ area. We are located close to Lake Blackshear, two golf courses and several waterfronts/ponds. Some outside amenities that the residents can enjoy as a group or on their on around Lake Blackshear include golf, volleyball, swimming, fishing, basketball, kayaking, etc. Resident staff members at our facility will maintain compliance with the policy and procedures of the ABOS House Program. Chores and other requirements are general to group home living. The residents will make weekly menus and a shopping list specific to their individual wants and needs.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
ABOS House is a yearlong residential program. Each resident shall commit to a minimum of one year in the program to gain admission with the understanding that it is a yearlong commitment to complete said program.
An entry fee is due upon admission into ABOS HOUSE LLC. Entry fee includes the first four weeks rent and utilities. After the expiration of the initial four-week period, the rent and utilities are paid on a weekly basis, with any utilities not paid being due on a monthly basis. Rent and utility monies are to be paid in advance on this basis, although alternative arrangements may be discussed on an individual basis. Rent will be due on Tuesday of each week. Resident is responsible for purchasing groceries. The utility bill (gas, water, power, trash & internet, etc.) will be divided among house members.
